"The most daring, provocative and inventive restaurant in the world".
Alchemist is a truly unique and iconic space, and is the backdrop for what chef Rasmus Munk believes is the future of fine dining. He successfully brings together art, science and food into his 'holistic dining' concept where diners are taken on a physical and culinary journey of discovery where every course or 'impression' has its own story. Rasmus came to us with a vision, a rough pen sketch and a vast, cavernous space previously serving as a ship-building workshop. After much discussion and lots of sketches, we divided this huge space up into distinctive areas with the centrepiece being a 90m dome onto which spectacular projections are beamed and where most of the dining takes place. A great deal of interior architecture and engineering created the framework for the immersive creative elements of this landmark restaurant. Alchemist was awarded two Michelin Stars only months after opening and is now rated as one of the top five restaurants in the world. Alchemist has been widely featured in the press and in TV and was chosen as the location for the final of the BBC TV show Professional Masterchef.
